Best At Travel | Intranet CRM

The Brief

I was tasked with redesigning Best At Travel's entire intranet system, which included hotel and resort management, sales and marketing management, as well as the hotel and travel booking system used by their sales staff.

Exploration

I conducted workshops, interviews, and observations to gather, document, and verify requirements. Once these were established, I began wireframing and content mapping.

Through continuous engagement with both users and the business, ideas were tested, quantified, and the results were reiterated into the wireframes and prototypes.

Design

Prototypes were developed from low fidelity, progressively advancing to high-fidelity HTML-based interfaces, and finalised with icon design, colour palettes, and style guides. User interface design elements and style guides were also created for the business and development teams.

My focus within the time available for this project was predominantly on the UX design side. Through detailed research, interviews, and shadowing, I gained significant insights into the users' needs. From there, I crafted and tested well-refined UX patterns, screens, and user journeys. I then applied the visual design layer in limited time.

While I’m confident in the UX of the solution, if I were to revisit the visual design today, I would opt for a cleaner, more minimal, and uncluttered approach.

Outcome

The new interface was well-received by both the users and the business. They found it more intuitive and felt it greatly facilitated the management of customers, bookings, and resort operations.
