Life Healthcare | Occupational Health PBRM

The Brief

Life Healthcare’s Occupational division required a digital, web-based system for their nursing and support staff in their Occupational Health clinics.

Their current system was almost entirely paper-based and lead to many user errors and lack of accurate reporting.

Research & Planning

A team of Business Analysts conducted exhaustive research, data analysis, user and stakeholder feedback; problems and challenges were identified and business solutions produced.

The UX team then conducted more detailed user interviews and stakeholder engagements, documenting those outcomes and presenting solutions.

As a result of the UX research, personas and user flows were created and "red routes" identified and quantified with the nurses.

Exploration

Through a series of brainstorming sessions with the stakeholders and amongst our team members, several wireframes were sketched, tested and progressively reiterated.

As the interface was developed and finalized, low fidelity interactive prototypes were created, these were tested with users to evaluate interaction and usability assumptions.

Design

User Interface design elements and style guides were created in this phase.

This was an iterative process of refinement and enhancement.

Outcome

The system was well received by the Nurses and they found it easy to use and understand, allowing them to keep the focus on their patients.
